LIP AUGMENTATION

  This procedure is intended for the patient who desires plumper and fuller lips. Temporary or permanent fillers such as Collagen, Restylane or Artecoll can be injected into the lip area to achieve the desired fullness. The procedure can also be done by utilizing the patient’s own fat tissue. It is a quick office procedure that is performed using a local anesthetic. The patient can resume their normal activities immediately and are able to return to work the next day.

  Dr. Levine meets with each patient personally for an in-depth consultation at which time the procedure and possible complications are discussed. Dr. Levine also discusses the various fillers that are available and the advantages and disadvantages of each one. Dr. Levine will advise which filler is the most suitable to achieve the desired result. The possible complications and postoperative recovery is explained. Dr. Levine makes every attempt to ensure that each patient has realistic expectations and is a good candidate for lip augmentation. As each patient’s problem is unique, the surgery is customized to achieve the desired result. Alternative procedures are discussed if indicated.
